Fukushima detection of high radiation levels after suspension repairs

Fukushima detection of high radiation levels after suspension repairs

Plant operators said the operation has stopped because the early part of the radioactive cesium absorbed more space than needed.

Engineers speculated that the highly radioactive soil or the waste water treatment system was measured before the radiation can enter.

After Chernobyl, the world's largest nuclear disaster in 1986 was radioactive soil around the plant, and is cased material to leak into the sea and a 20 kilometer radius of the 80,000 people forced to withdraw.

Is water reactor cores and fuel pump rod is made in the pools, more than 100,000 tonnes of contaminated water in the bottom left, drains and ditches, some of which have leaked into the sea. Before it can store water or recycled back through the reactors to cool them need to be decontaminated,

Highly radioactive water pumping out long-term maintenance of the cooling system will allow work to start.

Japan's 54 commercial nuclear reactors, are currently in operation 17. Two other units are offline in the investigative process. Fukushima Plant 35, including six other reactors, due to damage from earthquakes or routine inspections are up to.
